i just ordered a xp3 for my 125. will it be enough filtration? I have a emp280 and a aqua tech (i think) filter on my 55. should i take the aqua tech one off and add it to my 125 with the xp3? or would that mess up my 55g? If i add the aqua tech how fast do you all think my tank will cycle?

What are you going to stock your 125 with? 1 XP3 will be fine if the stocking levels aren't too high.

and the powerjet nozzle that comes with it..

go team powerjet! :)

I call propaganda! lol

I use the spray bars which gives me even out flow and keeps my sand clear of debris.

I'm thinking about experimenting with the powerjet nozzle though to see how that works out. :)

I would add a powerfilter along with your XP3.

My 125 has 2 xp3s and a Emperor 400, but with Mbuna, you would be good with 2 filters. I like adding a power filter because the XP3s don't polish the water.

Oh yeah, and take other's advice on using the powerjet with your XP3. I just put it on one of mine because of a recent thread. I have the powerjet pointed towards the power filter, and I love it!

I respectfully disagree :)

they keep the water as clear as any hang on tank filter could ever do.

but I agree: two filters is always a good thing! :)

I agree with 12 Volt Man. I run all XP's, and my tanks are crystal clear. It's not the canister that matters, but the media you have in it.
