I bought the 125, i also bought a new wet dry filter (that way i can hook up my 30 gallon to it also) anyways im excited, my oscar, green terror and sunrise peacock are going in there first and than who knows. Im going to have a lot of rocks really cavey with real thin stone. Im so F#$%in excited...What should i do for a bottom, color and all?

Congrats

I would go as natural as possible. That always looks best.

You could do sand. That seems to look the best IMHO. But i havent actually done it myself. I'm afraid it would be too messy with my fish. They like to dig, so they could send a bunch of sand into the filter intakes.

I use a natural gravel. I use medium to large sized gravel.

Some driftwood and rocks with floating plants would look good. I like to use the fake plants, but the fabric kind instead of the plastic. They look more realistic and flow in the water better.

ive always wondered, i'll go fabric just cause i like u, i was going to do a river rock gravel bottom medium and large, with like a layering rock...i'll post when im done in like a month, im building the stand so we'll jsut ahve to find out Eh

Think its a good idea im going with the dry/wet filter?

He probably did, That would make more sense :D

But Wet/Dry is definitley the way to go on just about any tank. Especially big ones.

If you can, do it ;)

I would go with some darker brown sand. I think sand looks the most natural....
