got 3 pleuros at 5-6 inches.

they're in a 33 gallon grow out tank for now and i was just wondering what temperatures are best for these guys. Also, any advice i should be aware of? are they crazy jumpers?

yeah anyways, im pretty stoked, they're pretty cute; in my opinion, they are the cutest snakeheads (when they're small), they've got such huge eyes.

just realized this is meant to be in the snakehead forum, not the snakehead media lounge... could someone move it for me? thanks

Saw those snakehead from NAPS and I think they are around 3-4". Still got the Juvie color. They are by far the most active snakehead out there and love to be in groups, They hunt like wolf and it's fan to watch when they are cornering a feeder. If they don't like the water temp, they will jump out for sure. Mine grew fast till they went to 8-9 inches and slow down the growth rate. They are now at 12" and the growth is very very slow even more. They like warmer temps compare to any other snakeheads which need a sub-tropical temps. Best to train them to feed varied diet or they will become picky feeders. Very sensitive while juvenile.

assuming ours are from the same source, what temperature do you keep yours at, and how long did it take them to eat? i tried yesterday, gonna try tomorrow with thawed shrimp.

I keep mine at 80F as my heater can only go as far as that. Need to buy 2x 300w heater. I wanted to keep them at 84F though as they are more active. When I first bought them they were are 2-3 inches and it took them 8 days to start eating. I wouldn't worry about not eating in the first week. They are very skittish and sensitive when small. Once it started to recognize the food it will start begging for food every time you're in front of the tank.
