Just bragging on my male. With pictures

I just wanted to brag on my male red breasted sunfish. He was wild caught a couple weeks ago and I was hand feeding him only a couple days later. He is absolutely not scared of me at all. When I'm cleaning his tank he won't even budge and I can reach in and pick him up and he won't put up a fight. This is really wierd so I thought he was sick but its been two weeks and he's doing great. Well here are some pics of him and his tank. (really sorry for the side pic. I'll have to clean the tank walls and take a better pic. )

Wish I could house local fish I catch, but they'd probably look like

oh and i also want to make his red really pop so is there any specific type of food i could feed him to make that happen??

you can feed carrots, krill, shrimp all have a large amount of karoten that will help make the red pop.

Oh and I have a couple more questions. Are sunfish a type cichlid?? And would a pleco be a good tankmate?
