What's the reason for a mirror in the fish tank, I've seen alot of vids with them especially flowerhorns.

its to get ur fish pumped up he sees him self and gets hype at least thats what mine does

helps bring out dominance and coloration. Instead of feeding them flowerhorn foods that are usually way to high in protein for "color." These foods tend to back up the fish, especially in older flowerhorns causing all sorts of intestinal issues.

They use mirrors right before competition judging to get the flowerhorn to display it's potential.
