Just fed my Mala feeders - alarming color change!

Hey guys. I just fed all my tanks a few feeders this morning as a treat since they only get shrimp and tilapia usually.
My wolffish, who up until now has been dark brown with black stripes, turned a golden color! Is this normal? A strange camouflage response maybe? Or is he just happy to get to kill something? I'll post pics soon.

I read where another member(Harleyk?)said his wolf changed became lighter in color after he ate.Maybe it is their camoflage response to darken and blend in to ambush prey.
