So i wanted to do this for a while and finally got around to it. this stand is for my 75 gallon. The legs are glued and screwed but left everything else just screwed in case i move so it will be eaiser in pieces. As you can see i ised all 2x4's and in each corner i used a 2x4 to brace the tank together. Every corner also has a steel corner brackets. I built this stand to hild a tank and i think it came out well for my first stand. Next will be my fiances 30 gallon stand. Whatcha think guys and ladies?????

took a pound of screw (2 1/2 inch weatherprood deck screws), and 22 2 1/2 inch corner brackets, and 10 1 inch corner braces. Very overkill I know!!!

Nice, you will not need to worry at all!

The metal braces are useless and wont stop your structure from falling. [It wont anyway, just a waste]

Are you wrapping the frame with a finish? I'd love to see how that comes out.

I plan on wrapping it but I'm gonna do my fiances 30 gallon first to see how it comes out. The braces are for peace of mind I had a tank break so I'm always nervous now.. But they helped keep everything in place too.

How tall is the stand? Any idea how many 2x4's it took to build?

Nicely done! Curious to see how you finish. I did not wrap mine....I finished and trimmed it but kept it open. i am happy with it so far.

Probly going to keep it open, but i will put shelves in it. I will also be putting 1 inch plywoof on top and making the width 10 inches wider to put decor on the back to add depth to the tank
