just bought 3 amazon puffers and didnt see the tiny hole in the net when I went to pour out the fish store water.... now I only have 2. just wanted to vent

That would probably throw me into a fit of rage. I just added two new fish to my tank today and did it over the bucket I use for water changes. Not for this reason but because I don't like having them out of water to long. Now I am really glad I do it that way. Sorry to hear about your loss.

sorry to hear that. :(

instead of the fit of rage I took my German Shepherd for a jog... noticed you have a beauty there. yeah the sink is 2 ft. from the tank, I thought I was being efficient.

Thats how I do it too, to avoid that from happening. Sorry for your loss dude.

Ouch, thats sad.
I flushed my Puffer out of his tank during maintenance, some time ago.
Luckily I used a bucket, and Puffy survived!

after doing maintenance on my tank, my filter starting making this grinding noise so i went to check it out. somehow half of the filter intake tube came detached but even though the tube was still submerged it was running dry. i unplug the filter and take the filter intake tube off and i see the tail of my figure 8 puffer sticking out of the tube. i literally had to blow into the other end of the tube to get him out. it was airtight and he couldnt have been a more perfect size to fit in there. but all is good and puffer is still alive to this day. but on his side he definitely has a battle scar. sorry about your loss :(
