Ok....Just a silly question to break up all of the serious stuff out there....

Who talks to their fish?

I will start.....

When I turn the tank lights on, I say "good morning fishies" and when I feed them I say "who's hungry?" and when I turn out the lights, I tell them good night....lol.....I know it sounds funny, but for some reason, its become a habbit!

anyone else do this?

I talk to my fish every once in a while. Not sure why, but it's usually just when I turn on the lights and I say hello....

I think I'm losing it.... :screwy: :screwy: :screwy:
 
I curse at them when certain specimens are chasing others across the tank excessively, i comment during heated battles and moments of beauty, i swore at my ropefish alot a few weeks ago when i found him getting sucked down my python during a waterchange, i try to placate them prior to feeding time (when they see me throwing the pellets in the feeding cup to soak for a few mins, some go ape****), i tell them to stfu when they're begging for food when its not feeding time.
 
i usually only talk to them during feeding time. I'll swear at my tinfoil barbs when they steal food from fish I actually like, like my spectabile. I get pretty pissed and tell them to stop when i see them chasing one another. And I talk to my little fishies that don't seem to be having a big appetite or are afraid to have a go at the food. :D

Thats funny p45....I swear at my fish too, and when I see some bad behavior going on, I will tap the glass and tell them to stop! :ROFL:

but being serious now....Only time I talk to my fish is when they:

-Splash me at feeding time. I usually say stuff like :%@$%$#*#*
-Hard to catch. I usually say stuff like :%@$%$#*#*
-Bite me. I usually say stuff like :%@$%$#*#*
-Eat a tank mate in front of me. I usually say stuff like :%@$%$#*#*
