i currently got 7 exos in a bucket swimming in shallow water and i need help acclimating them to their tank.

with cheaper fish i usually just drip any old amount of water in and be done with it but these guys were 10.95 a piece!! :nilly: i wanna do it right for these guys and i cant find a thread explaining how exactly i do this.

how often do i put how much more water into their bucket?

The best procedure I know of is a drip acclimation. Use a peice of air line tube and put a knot in the middle of it loosely. Put a air stone on 1 end and put that end in the tank. Start a syphon and put the dripping end in the bucket with new fish. Tighten the knot until you get a steady drip and not a stream. Let them drip acclimate for 30minutes or so or until the bucket gets full. ------------And next time have a plan before making the purchase.

couldnt really plan on this one. there was only 7 of them in the shop and i didnt wanna risk having less since the owner wasn't going to buy them anymore (forever). btw thanks that was a very good idea.

oh, and can you pm me the contact info of that ohio lfs you told me about? if there exos are only 2.50 ea. im all in for it! i really wanna increase my shoal... 7 is a nervous number.

www t f d f i s h com thats there site and all the info should be there. They are not a lfs per say but more of a online fish sells shop. Most of the time they do not even allow walk in visits with out appointment. Or check aqua bid com
