Hello, I recently found a breeder in my area selling 3/4" red terror juveniles ( Almost impossible to find in my area) by the time I got there the breeder only had 4 left so I took them all and put them in a spare 90 gallon hoping to maybe get a breeding pair , i have them in 84 degrees, feeding them broken up cichlid gold pellets, hoping they put on some size, I've noticed there quite rough with eachother :/ sorry for the bad pic there really fast and camera shy lol

Man any female in there will put a male through the ringer by the time she is 3" long, about 9 months. If you think they are aggressive now, they'll just get more as they get bigger. Adding more cichlids won't mean much since they will seek each other out to test each other even if you have an 8 foot tank.

I was considering adding some distraction fish when they get abit bigger, maybe some tinfoil barbs or something that's very active

Mine ignored silver dollars, and they are pretty active. They even ignored a shoal of 12 rosy barbs that went back and forth constantly. They focused osolely on their own species, and ignored other cichlids of the same size. If you don't want to lose any, get an additional 3 tanks and move them out of the 90 as needed or get dividers up.

those are some aggressive cichlids,, 90 will seem small,,,,, sooner than you think.. they are easily the nastiest fish i ever owned.. they were hell on wheels at 5"...

Wow I always heard they were aggressive but never that much, thanks for the heads up, I'll definitely invest in some dividers for the 90
