yeah well so i decided too buy this small guys! i will grow them out , they are really small now id say about 2" camera is broken atm so cant take any pics tho will get some pics as soon as i can . anyway just put them in the tank and they darted too a hiding cave :/ guessing its normal ? he said he has been feeding them with red mosqutio (larvas) ? dont know the english word for them . anyway i was hoping to get them on shrimp and hopefully pellets. theyr in my 175g with my silver arow . some of the Ocells he had was sick with white dot diesease ( dont know the english word for this aswell) and he said they might get it but i should wait and if they do i should buy meds for it , should i just go straight away and buy meds anyway and treat them with it? i will update as soon as i can! hoping this fish to be as awesome as they seem!

Sounds like 'white dot disease' is the disease commonly referred to as "ich" (pronounced ick) in the states.

I'm no expert but I'm not sure I would put in meds yet. Alot of people here seem to advise turning water temperature up to around 85-86 degrees (higher temperatures shorten the life-span of ich). Also probably a good idea to do a water change daily (or almost daily?), but not sure how much % of water change to do. Maybe a daily 25%? I don't know...

congrats, you wont be dissapointed :D
and the english words for red mosquito larve and white spot are bloodworms and ick, respectively

good luck! I would get the temp to 87F to help protect against ick/ich/whitespot and that's all you should need.

Are these your first Cichla?

Yeah dont use meds if you can avoid them. Ick disease can be cured by keeping water temp of 86-87f and adding aquarium salt. I think the correct dose of salt is 1 tbsp per 10 gallons. Most cichla keepers will advise you to keep the tank 85-87f constant to prevent many various parasites and diseases. Just keep in mind that running your tank that warm will decrease the oxygen level in the water, so you should take action to increase the surface turbulance / agitation of the tank.

Yeah its my first ones . and i got salt and i will bump up the temp abit ive got it at like 81f atm. and ive got a eheim powerhead and FX5 canister , so the surface movement is fine. are they normally shy when theyr small? or will they adept.

Id bump the temp to 86-87f if you can and keep the oxygen levels in the tank high.. if you do notice whitespot start with the the salt treatment adn step your water change game up, always leave meds as a last resort.
Cichla are normally shy when first acquired, plus you have 3 right.. so their more or likely just getting settled and getting used to their new environment.
