Just got 6 bgjd. Should I add an Ebjd with them?

Just got them today they are only half an inch. My question is I have a Ebjd that is 1.5" and a new 55 gallon cycled and ready for fish, should I put the Ebjd with them until they grow large enough to pair off? I also have a .7" inch Ebjd I want to add but I'm not sure he will make it with them

i would, the eb grow slower so it should be a good point to keep them together

Ok thanks. I plan on removing some bgjd as they grow and I can sex them until my Ebjd picks a mate then the tank is all theirs

If the ebjd is smaller i would defiently not put them together.

Missread the ebjd will be ok since hes larger. Maybe a time were they will catch up.

Ok thanks. The Ebjd is growing Faster than any other one I've ever had but from past experiences their growth slows a lot after 3 or 4 inches. Have you experienced the same with yours?

Yes slows down around 3 inches. Feed high protein.

Feed high protein even when young? My 3" and 5" eat mostly blood worms garden worms and carnivore pellets

I feed high protein promotes fast growth. I feed a variety. Frozen brine shrimp , new life spectrum flake and nls growth pellets. My breeder i bought my stock from feeds beef heart thin flakes and frozen brine. Ive also recently tried kens high protein pellets and my blue loves it. Ocassionaly ill feed my bgjd earthworms. However ive heard a lot of negative on bloodworms.
