Just got a 125g for $200, with top two 36" hoods. I can't wait to get it set up. This is the biggest tank I have ever had. I know it is not as big as many of yours but I am still excited. buying the tank was easy now is the decision on what I am going to put in it! Thanks to everyone for the advice and wisdom! It is all appreciated!

Congrats on the 125, nice pick up! In a couple of months you will want something bigger. What kind of stock are you thinking about?
Are you buying or building a stand? Either way make sure you can fix a sump under it without taking down the tank, I didn't and I'm kicking myself for it. Even if you don't plan on a sump the option is nice for down the road. Think about anything that you would have to take down the tank to install such as a 3d background, better to take an extra month to plan than change something later or resolve to live with your shortsightedness.
i second that. i always leave the option to have extra room under the tank for extra tanks, sump, equip, etc
I am building the stand. Thanks for the advice. Does anyone know where to get good plans for building one. I have woodworking experience but none building an tank stand. Looked at some today and they are all built out of 1 X. Not crazy about that at all. Mine will be built out of 2x4's.
