I just got a 55g tank, i currently have a 37g and 10g .. I want to do some larger fish.. maybe peacock bass, small mouth bass, pacus, carfish, koi, oscars.. something..

PLEASE help me with a stocking list. im not familiar with larger fish.

i have a 110g filter , 2 100gph power heads, heater and air pump on this 55g tank..

BE CAREFUL AND EXAMINE THE SIZES THAT THE FISH YOU MENTIONED WILL GROW TO AS ADULTS. THEY ALL WILL OUTGROW YOUR 55 GALLON.

These fish the pbass, Pacu, Oscar won't work for a 55gal unless it's used as a growout and you have a 150gal on reserve for the next four months or less IDK look for smaller fish such as an African Cichlid tank or South Americans....Also BK or Senegal Bichirs etc.....Just Check the "End All Mini-Monster Thread" for Ideas

An Oscar and maby one or two Mediem sized South American Cichlids and a Pleco. Peacock Bass Pacus and Koi get far to large for this size tank. Just always remember to do your recerch before you buy that means more than just asking the guy at the store. A 55gal tank is about 13in wide so you should not buy fish that have a 24in max length 13 should be about your max target length. Also remember even just a few large fish in this size tank is a lot and I would sugest doing water changes at least weekly.

WHY ARE YOU YELLIN' AT HIM??:grinno:

In a 55 gallon, you have a bunch of options. Here are some:
(1) Mbuna tank (african cichlids from Lake Malawi). Lots of rocks, very colorful, active, and overstocking is purported to reduce aggression.
(2) Peacocks and Haps. More peaceful African cichlids in this group, still get beautiful but check the max. adult size for the haps, some get BIG.
(3) Relatively peaceful American cichlids. Go with some things like rainbow cichlid (herotilapia multispinosa), thorichthys (meeki, the firemouth, is only one kind. Most are beautiful), sajica, spilurum, aequidens (acara. But avoid the "green terror" or gold saum). You could have tetras, rainbows, silver dollars, couple small fancy plecos.
(4) Severum tank, with a couple bichirs (polypterus senegalus is a nice choice, and the albino version is available locally in Tampa at least), small catfish, and maybe some silver dollars.
(5) Aggressive tank - Jack Dempsey and Convict or Green Terror and some target fish. Personally, I don't do aggressives in tanks this small but many report some success.
(6) Dwarf cichlid heaven. Rams, Kribs, Apistograma (like Caucatoides). You could have barbs and tetras, cory cats, and even a couple oddballs as long as you don't get large-growing predators. Be cautious of water: Rams and apistos are not tolerant of poor water typically.
(7) It might make one very cool angelfish tank. Not my thing, but I see why my gf does it.
Hope this helps.

None of those will work. They get way to big for a 55.
