My LFS just got in a Diplobatis ommata (bullseye sharkray) and it turns out it was pregnant! So, the mom had 8 babies and I just had to get one. How often are you gonna come across that?

Mine is eating brine, mysis, and formula 1. Today I saw it take a few chunks out of a waterlogged spectrum pellet that sank to the bottom. It is about 20 days old. It is currently in my 55gl show sump with a orange-spotted filefish and a few hermits.

Anyone have any experience with these or anything similar? Any advise on care would be much appreciated.

First off it's not an electric sharkray. Please please please learn about livestock prior to buying.

It's an electric torpedo ray. Sharkray is a WHOLE different thing. That will out grow what you have, so I hope you are upgrading.

I would suggest getting rid of the wrasse, it will probably pick on it. Being that small, I'd suggest getting rid of the inverts as well. They will probably do the same thing.... then later be eaten. Make sure your coral is anchored well, as these guys will knock it over.

My elasmo professor had a Narcine brasiliensis in a 180 with a few other fish that occupied the upper part of the tank. He said it was pretty hardy and would eat anything he tossed in there. I think he caught it as an adult tho. Awesome pickup!

I do plan on upgrading at some point (note the cowfish). I am going to let it grow out a while in the sump, so I hope that I will not need to get rid of the wrasse. You seem pretty informed about this. Do you have any other info on these guys?

Matt has quite a wealth of knowledge. I would listen to everything he has to say.
BTW... the ray is very cute. Good luck with it!:D
