I just picked up and brand new 75 gallon with a single over flow at a yard sale for 40 bucks....... but I never have a sump tank before can anyone help me set this up and find the right equipment ie sump /pump media or some links for equipment please .... I am going to set up as a fresh water tank for now most likey a fw ray set up for my smaller rays... the tanK WAS BUILT BY OCEANIC i checked there site and found nothing for the size tank
Thanks in advance

check the DIY stickies they explain the sump and overflow pretty well.

all you need for a sump

-pvc or vinyl tubing of some sort
-rubbermaid tub (20 gallons or so)
-pump (shoot for 6x turnover if you want rays.. however you are going to need a bigger tank so do some more research on yer stock)
-scrubbies ($15 at your local dollar store)
-piece of slate (to put the heater on.. they sometimes like to melt through the tubs without the slate)
-egg crate aka light difuser (home depot/lowes)

As far as getting rays it will be for pups only I have much larger tanks for the adults over 300 gallon tanks. I just want to be able to watch the pups closer and observe them for study and growth rates.
