I just bought a jardini, how would you be able to tell what kind it is? and wondering is there any type of food thats good for its coloring and growth im feeding it shrimp right now.

a good quality pellet such as hikari gold. I got a silver on monday, was being fed shrimp and prawns every day. Managed to get her onto dried food yesterday and now loves it. Obviousely will give her treats but the pellet is a good staple with all the nutrition arowanas need. I think Hikari does arowana pellets too, but because i've got a lot of cichlids, i just stick with the cichlid variety.
You got a pic to share? How big is it?

Its about seven or eight inches, I will definitely get a picture up as soon as i can. Ive had an arowana before in the past but that was a long time ago. I really want to give this jardini the best of care and food. its very active right now in an 80 gallon..

how about yourself and pic to share?

If you want, you may also try King worms.. you have to feed them carrots, which have carotene, which then helps with colour

They also float on the top, our silver aro, and jardini both loved them..

Iv read you also have to feed crickets carrots before feeding to the fish. Seems a bit of a hassle...im a fishkeeper not a bug keeper!
