So my little ~2.5" female carpinte has taken a liking to my Shortbody FH now that hes the dominant one in his own tank again, without further adeu~

just interesting to me the massive size differences between the two.. hope you enjoyed

Hopefully they breed succesfully have a divider or another tank ready incase he decides to get mean. If they are succesful you should have some pearly flowerhorns.

i have an extra 30 gallon i can boot a pair of convicts out of if such a thing happens, But for the nearly year i have had him, hes been the most gentle fish aside from a welcome nip to any new tank mates.

a gentle flowerhorn....you should breed him for his temperament. i guessing people would kill for a flowerhorn they could keep with their discuss...lol jk. thats awesome though, i'm jealous, my fH's would kill themselves if they could

i think it may relate more to that i originally bought 2, him and his brother at about 1.5" and he was the one getting picked on and i thought was going to die. Ended up splitting the two, This guy thrived as soon as he didnt have someone on him all the time and the other, with what im guessing lack of someone to bully, just kind of faded out and passed. Really strange how it played out.
