Just got a Pearly Jawfish

I just got one this morning and know how big it gets and and what it eats but any tips for it to come out more? Also are they like aros in the way they find every single hole in your cover and jump out?

Quite a solitary SP. of jawfish these....the only real thing to make them come out more is by tempting them with food...

yeah they like to jump.. any meaty food will do, brine shrimp, mysis, prepared food, etc

For my yellow headed jawfish I use the frozen plankton, and he is usually active around his burrow most of the day.

and actually one of the most intersting parts of keeping them is either establishing a pair or even getting two males... the interaction between them is just great

jawfish like to hide in a shelter whether it be a hole in the rock or a sand borrow that is just there nature. They only jump out if picked on or extremely stressed to prevent this just be cautious to what you add to the tank and keep a mixed diet of food's and the jawfish will be happy, and healthy for years to come.
