Just Got A Trio Of Cuban Cichlids... Any Tips?

Today I bought a trio of 4-5 inch Cubans for 80$
I put them in a 55 with some neon jewels and 2 gold sevs
Setup caves from slates
They are already chasing the jewels
Should I take the jewels out?

Are neon jewels = jewel cichlid?

If so, the Jewels will probably get beat up eventually. Cubans are pretty aggressive, the severum may or may not be ok. It depends on the temperament of the fish.

What is the gender ratio? Post pics if you aren't sure. When you say trio do you mean three fish or a breeding trio?
