me and my fiance were using aquarium nets and i went over to where she was and she had a baby gar. it made me jealous.

it looks just like the other babies i had and eveyone said they were F/S but i dont think F/S are in lake lanier.

and we are about to go back.

as always...post pics or this is pretty much useless. we could make guesses based on locality, but you wont get a possitive id on it until then.

yea i know. i didnt have time to post pics earlier. but now i will try to get a good pic.
 
cant post pics cuz it past away. i dont know what happened cuz right when we put it in the bucket it started eating little fry. but when i put it in the tank i was watching it and it was fine one minute and laying on its side the next. R.I.P.

It is fully possible to take a photo of a dead fish... Really... trust me I've done it before... They will show up as an image..

for the fish to succumb that quickly it was likely a difference in water chemistry between the water in the bucket (was that water from the home pond/river?) and the water in the tank. ammo/nitrite/nitrate/pH/and temp are all big factors that can quickly kill off a young gar.

and i agree, go ahead and take pics of the dead fish if you still have it--

im trying to get pics of another one i have but the pics are coming out all blurry. and i also still have the dead one. its frozen now. i have the living one in a small fish bowl to lower the risk of broken back. ill take pics when i get back from the lake once again. gotta catch little guppys for him to eat. if i see anymore while im there ill take pics but leave them.
