so i dont have any pictures of this guy yet cuz he wont hold still long enough for me to get any but he was labeled as a red flowerhorn. i believe hes already starting to develop his hump which is why i picked him. i just got him today and hes the first one ive ever owned. hes about 3 in long and house with other SA american cichlids. got a couple questions
whats the growth rate like
whats the max size
what do you feed yours
what do you keep your with
whats the temperment like towards you and other fish
hes in a 125, will that be big enough for life. and last but not least id love to see pictures of ur guys flowerhorns.

4gts and 2cons 2 spotted cats, 1 birchir, 1 cory cat, ive got a 55 in storage i could put him in when hes grown if hell fit in it

75 is the smallest id say for a FH. and the flowerhorn will most likely try and kill every thing it can. it could not tho but its very good chance it will

whats the growth rate like
If all conditions are met, such as water conditions, water quality, food etc. Then about 1" a month.

whats the max size
12-14"

what do you feed yours
I feed mine NLS pellets and bloodworms as treats.

what do you keep your with
Water lol

whats the temperment like towards you and other fish
Will try to kill me and any other fish that invades is territory lol

Way more than enough for 1 Flowerhorn, but since you're keeping it with other fish, the Flowerhorn will more than likely kill all the other fish.

haha well this was originally posted in another area but then got moved over to here i didnt realize this part even exsisted

Congrats on Your first fh I suggest you keep him by himself for maximum potential plus they are aggressive with others though I have a very nice one before with a huge kok that can be put in a community tank he even was with smaller angl fish and he did not touch them but you rarely get this scenario with a fh I fed him Grand Sumo Red and the regular one plus others keep his water clean cause I notice they easily get sick when not really taken cared of compared to some other fishes I had.

yea i just called my dad and since hes been wanting one i figured id give it to him so next time i go home ill give it to him, hell be keeping it in a 55gal until he can get something larger to keep it in, fish is only around 3in now so i fugred hes got a little while before he has to upgrade. so yea, hell be taking the fish as long as its ok with mom lol we all know who wears the pants in that relationship.
