I have been trying to buy this guy for over a year, everytime i went into my local Maidenhead Aquatics they would say 'not for sale', finally i see him priced up for £30...i just had to get him! so i traded in all my other fish, hes sharing my 4ft with a pink convict and some catfish (raphael, syno, Gibbi plec)

He is total length 7", without tail around 6", already showing his character! :)

Will try and get some better pictures later, he is still a bit shy when i go near the tank.

Congratulations. IMO- every fish keeper should have a RD at one point & time.

Congrats, he's a keeper.

:) im so pleased i finally got one, this is the first time i have ever seen one where i live in England in the 11 years i have been keeping Cichlids, and my town has 6 LFS's!

As soon as i saw him for sale, i traded in all my stock and got me a real wet pet :)

heres a few new pics

I managed to take some better pics today, what do you think of my new monster? :)

Congratulations on finely getting one. It's a nice looking fish and should make a fine wet pet. Good luck with it.

It's hard to tell, it'll probibly always be Orange and white but might get brighter once it's settled in and on a regular schedule of water changes and feedings. Again good luck with it.

Great! Congrats!....but Red Devil with Malawi isnt a long lasting combination
