Ok so I just got my new tank I'n and I have a couple concerns

First is my filtration I have 1 Rena xp3 and 2 emperor 400's I'm considering getting a ac110 and a eheim 2217 and ditching the emps

Ok and the second question is about my stocking
I currently have 2 sen bichir 1 endli bichir 1 silver aro 2 angel fish 4 clown loaches royal pleco 1 fire eel 1 black ghost knife and a longnose gar(considering not keeping)
It sounds like alot but there all very small so i have some time to get the stocking right

the silver aro is enough alone..

I would suggest getting a couple of the largest canisters you can. 2 FX5s would be close. An AC 110 is good for about 60 gallons, same for an emporer 400. Generally, whatever they list for the largest tank they are reccomended for you should cut in half. If they say for up to 100 gallons they really are only adequate for 50.

You might searcg ebay for a seller named Kool Goods and look at the SunSun or Perfect canisters he has. They are basically knockoffs of name brand canisters for about 30% of the price and work just as well. He also stands behind them so if anything goes wrong he will replace.

You might consider making a sump for that tank, it would be cheaper and work better in the long run. You can make them pretty cheaply out of a rubbermaid tub or an old 50 gallon tank. Plenty of DIY threads on doing that.

Good luck, that's a nice size.

It's all blacked out black stand black trim black silicon... Going tohave a black background with some pics laminated of me and my Fiance to keep her happy haha

I agree hob filters are useless on a tank of that size, go with fx5s but if you cant afford them get rena xp4s , ive ran them on my 180 for years and still do and much cheaper than the fluvals . Your stocklist sounds fine to me for awhile anyway but i wouldnt put the angels in there to timid for the rest of your stock Good Luck and have fun
