So i bought a juruense 2 days ago. 4" in size...boy did i think 4" was a lot longer then it turned out to be lol

Needless to say he is too small for my 210 right now, so he is in a 65 by himself to grow out a little.

I dont have any pics at this time though. He isn't eating at right now, hopefully he does within a week.

My question is, what will his growth rate be once he does start to eat?

Nice pick up, one of my favorites. Try offering him worms or bloodworms to get him eating. Mine grew pretty fast up to 12" and then slowed down a little. I would say around 1"+ a month with clean water and eating well. Some people have trouble weaning them onto pellets but I didn't have any issues at all by using teacher fish.

when i bought him i was told he already eats blood worms and mysis shrimp. I tried but no luck, i think hes still a little stressed/stubborn from his flight over here

Did you just get him today?

well i threw a hole cube of frozen mysis shrimp into his tank the whole thing melted and he would only eat pieces that floated right in front of him and the very bottom. So that was fun to clean up but at least he ate a little

That's not bad for a second day. It will learn and in a nice, stress-free environment, pristine water, it will eat well.
