So I just got P's today, two of them. They are really small right now, they eat about 2 blood worms each. I have them in a 20 gallon tank right now. I plan on getting a 40 gallon tank within a month. is there anything I should know?

You should either have at least 3 or just 1. If they are rbp's than you would need a 55 for 3. 2 won't last long together.

Give them hiding places, and a good home. :O

I used to have 2 in a 20 gallon and they ate each other christmas morning!!

I bought 2 p's about 15 years ago and soon after I got them home, the one ending up biting out the other ones eye. He waited about a month till he was twice the size of the other one, since it had one eye it wasn't able to hunt as well, and ending up eating him.

well thanks for the replies, it is the second day I have had them and they seem to be fine. I fed them a little blood worms. They are not close to each other though, one is at one side of the tank and the other, well, at the other. I havent seen them nip at each other so I am hoping they wont fight, like my oscars did.
Should I put some fake plants in the tank? I have 2 clay pots in there right now, one big one small. I am afriad they will chew up or uproot the plants like my oscars did.

its always good to give them cover, just incase one of them wanna get away, so i would put some plants in the tank
