yeah theres so much im going to stop here what exactly do you need to know?

This all seems right other than maybe the size. Some of them can get enourmous if given the right space. But 12" is a good benchmark. Maybe expect 13 or 14" in a larger specimen.

Drop a couple pellets in there and see if they eat it instantly. If not wait a couple days and drop some more pellets in.

they are little predators. nightcrawlers and minnows are their favs if they won't take pellets. they will even eat snails and crayfish. they like colder water and weeds.
 
Info sounds good, though they can get up to 14" plus theoretically it is unlikely. I have 3 that all came out of the same age class and 1 is almost 2x as big as the other. They love freeze dried krill, blood worms, and cut up smelt. They lately have been shunning brine shimp and will spit out meal worms. Pellet training can be a challenge, but if you get yours to eat them let me know because despite multiple attempts I have not been able to get mine to.
