i found some "comets" 3 for 10 bucks so i brought 3 home. 1 is a shubunkin, and it looks like the other 2 might be commons. when they went in the pond i noticed like almost instantly my sarassa comet follows all three of them real closely like touching their sides, is this him bossing them around? also im really glad when i tossed some food in my koi came out of hiding to eat and instead of returning to hiding he stayed out swimming! i think the new fish brought him out of hiding! thanks for giving me those tips to get him from hiding so much guys.

Neat! Goldfish do get inquisitive when they meet new occupants. My 7" oranda tried to nudge my 3" black ranchu by his side when I introduced my black ranchu Loco to the main goldfish tank after 4 weeks of quarantine.:)

yeah i know its recommended to quarantine but my pond is pretty much new with only 2 cheap fish so i didnt see the need. but i DID put them in a tank for a bit to check them out for parasites and diseases and stuff. nothing visual on any fish yet. also i was surprises to see ALL the goldfishes in the lfs was healthy and in a VERY clean tank. probably cuz they shared filtration with the jumbo koi in the other tank
