just got these beautiful pleco for 3 weeks. need help with id.

Some one confirm with me.. They look like L066 King Tiger Pleco... Hypancistrus.. They are veggie and meat eaters..

Nice pickup.. mind me asking where u get them? Since ur in long beach..

Cant help you with id, but i dont think a king tiger, pattern is a bit different than the king tigers.

Not sure of the sceintific name or L number but they kinda look like the "false" zebra pleco. Google false zebra pleco and see what comes up.

L204 is what flash are under. look it up and get back to me on what you learned about em. very cool plecos though.

so no they're not any of PANAQUE sp. which the flash and the clown (maccus) is under This pleco is some kind of hypans.

however I'm not going to judge those guys super quick to be L066s though. The best folks that would ID those right off the bat is gonna be the guys in PF or planetcatfish.com my personal opinion is that theyre not L066s tho.

there are 2 species of king tiger plecos. i would have to say those are it.

the other one has a black body with white/yellowish maze pattern.

the one he got is the better quality one and alot harder to find.
