Petition to Remove Boa, Python & Eunectes from HR 6311

If this Bill passes it will end the Import of ALL Boa, Python &
Eunectes. It is another incremental step toward ending the Reptile &
Amphibian Industry. Don’t let this happen!

· There is NO evidence to support the premise that the
continued import of Boa, Python & Eunectes would negatively impact
the economy, environment, or human or animal species health.

· ‘Broken Screens’, the report which is the basis for the
writing of H.R. 6311, is not a science based document. It is a
propaganda piece produced by a radical environmentalist group in
league with the Animal Rights Movement.

· The so called “Risk Assessment” measures in this bill take a
Guilty Until Proven Innocent approach that flies in the face of
reason and promotes prejudicial treatment of all animals listed.

· Citizens of the United States are appalled that well funded
special interest groups are able to promote fiction as fact… and we
demand Boa, Python & Eunectes be removed from H.R. 6311.

This unfair Bill cannot be allowed to pass. Sign the Petition

I don't believe anacondas hould be kept in the first place. They live in water and people give them land... Ban them, for their sake.

Z

why shouldnt you be able to keep them anyway?

wow thatd suck...

Another one of these?

What annoys me is that they are so generalized...unless there is a size cutoff? Because childrens pythons and sand boas aren't going to harm anything.

And it seems to be based on fear? Otherwise the environmental impact is there...too many idiots releasing their pets into the wild. This is not the right answer, prevention is whats needed. To keep the lame pet stores and irresponsible people from ruining the industry.

No need to ban them, only restrict them by permits, licences, etc

:iagree:
there already are a couple laws like that but for actual dangerous creatures, like piranhas, snapping turtles...

Won't happen. Can you even afford to shut off another avenue of the economy...
