Well I started out with a little retic to see how my ray keeping skills were. Well I have had her for a long while now and she is flourishing. So I decided that I was going to get a couple more
Well I found a lady in Wisconsin and she was selling her pair of motoros or she would trade for the right fish. So I ended up trading some of my Africans to her and we had a deal.
The only down side is that I live in Michigan and I had to travel roughly 1000 miles to get them. Yeah you probably think I am crazy, and that it would have been cheaper to just order some and pay shipping, which it would have been. But no I decided to drive all the way up get them.
I didnt do it in one day though. It was a two-day ordeal and I set up a cooler for each of them and stuff and all went well. Except gas prices that is.
When I got home after I acclimated them with the drip method I got them each to eat 10 night crawlers after only being in the tank for 5 min, so I was happy
Well in the end I got a 12in female motoro and a 9in male motoro for about $150 worth of cichlids. So I am pretty happy.
Oh, and I will post some pics tomorrow when they adjust to the new tank a little better
