Not fish related, but just needed to vent. i was in this car accident last week where my car got totaled :irked:. some idiot on a cell phone ran a red light and smashed me. fortunately it was witnessed by a police recruit, but the guy was such a prick that he never said a word to me. no name, no phone #, no insuracne info. DIDNT EVEN GET OFF HIS CELL PHONE. and to top it off, he tried to tell the cop i was pulling a u-turn. now my car is sitting at a garage 35 miles from my house being charged $50/day storage, plus towing fees, have no car to get to work and have a 30-mile one-way commute. i found out from the insurance company my dad dropped collision about two weeks ago so i'm not covered for a rental and cant get a hold of anyone at the police station to get the insurance info for the other guy or a police report so i cant get a car. im about ready to scream. the owner of the garage keeps calling me to get it out of his lot, but i cant do anything until i get in touch with his insurance compay and they tell me what to do. spoke briefly with a family friend who is an attorney, and he thinks the guy isnt insured and i'm getting shafted with this. not only am i going to have to eat the $1000+ storage/towing bill, plus i'm getting screwed out the the couple thousand my car is worth. scumbag probably doesnt even own anything i can force a lein on either.
 
OMG that sucks !! sorry to hear that I hope things start going better for you , btw did you get hurt ? you didn't say . becareful trust me I was in a bad wreck back in 02 and because of that wreck I am going to have to have back surgery got to replace 3 disks and try and repair 4 pinched nerves, O and by the way I was fine after the accident and didn' have any problems till after 07 ..... the thing is I was in an accident with 3 full grown quarter horses down in missouri they ran out in front of me on a highway and I ended up hitting all 3 and the guy that owned the horses did not have any insurance on the horses and I made the mistake of not going to the dr to get any tests done ..... and when I tried to go after him he kept moving from state to state after spending several thousand on PI bills to get him surved I was told I would be better off just stopping it so I did .... the moral of this story is just becareful ...

Thanks for the support guys. fortunately i was driving my big car, i usually drive a 73 bug, but it was getting a clutch replacement. nobody was hurt, but the guy was a reas jerk about the whole thing. its the second bad accident i've been in in the last month. my girlfriend and i were at a fishing tournament upstate the last weekend in sept. and totaled her car on the way back. hit a patch of road where an oil truck had leaked and got put up the embankment into the trees. i've been stewing over this last one for the last week, spoke to the cops yesterday and they said the accident report wont be ready until at LEAST this coming monday so i cant really do squat until then. oh well, at least nobody was hurt, right?
 
Cakilla, thats nuts about the quarter horses. I'm hoping that wont happen, but i've got a few friends in some high places who could track down just about anybody, and dont thing this guy will get away scott clean.

Richardson, what part of Philly are you from? i'm basicially in king of prussia and the accident happend on westchester pike in broomall.
 
dude that sucks. i was in a similiar situation as you. totalled my car. i got ****ed bad in that accident. in the end i only got 1500 for my car and case. i losted thousands in that case cuz her insurance was **** and i didnt have full coverage.
