20 inches tops, unless you put him next to a yardstick. You've got the ruler sticking an inch in front of his snout. Even compensating for the curve in his tail, there's maybe another 7 inches back there.
Not to argue over semantics, but it appears that it's closer to 20 than 22. Amazing specimen nonetheless.
