Hello all. i just found this forum and decided i wanted to become a part of it. i just bought a 250 gal. tank from a co-worker who was transfering and could not bring it with him. All i got from him was the actual tank and stand. ive kept fresh water fish in the past and i plan on staying fresh water.
i am new to the "big tank" world. the largest ive run was a 55 gal. along with meeting the people here, i was wondering if there were any tips/tricks that went along.
i am excited to meet you all and look forward to a long stay in this forum.

and i cant wait to get her up and runnin. definatly havin some pics when she is.

hell yea!
what u thinking of stocking it up with?

Welcome to MFK. The bigger gallonage that you have, the more stable the environment will be for your fish. Your doing good to just go ahead and start big. It never fails, you'll want a bigger tank eventually.

+1 on the stocking?

i havent decided yet. i am partial to cichlids. ive had pretty good luck with them in the past. my dads got some shovelnose cats. i like those.

Dude you joined the right place, I am mainly a betta guy, but I am looking to get into bigger tanks and fish also. The biggest i've run is a 30gal lol. But this is definitely the right place to learn about bigger fish.

welcome to mfk-its a great forum (well, i mean the ppl are great here). cant wait to see your tank!
