Just landed a 55G for $50!! What to stock?

I would prefer one fish or maybe a pair.....or an oddball. I prefer CA/SA's that's why I posted it here.

I would get a reddevil cichlid or a red terror cichlid.One should be alright if in a 55.

Red Terrors get over 12" right? I'm not gonna get something I have to upgrade for in the future.

Or u could try a texas cichlid which get from 8 to 10 inches.

Could always get probably 3 pairs of convicts in there, and they are very interesting to watch, preditorial and definitely breed like convicts!

I like Cons a lot. I've hears they will kill anything else in the tank though when breeding. I would be up to my eyeballs in baby cons with three pairs. lol I'll add it to the list though!

What about Blue Gill? I live on a lake and can catch my own. Would a 55 be too small for one ot two?

Royal Gold Saum! IMO that would be an amazing specimen to keep in a 55 gallon.

I would deffinatly do one or two bluegill. I think you would be alright with two for a while. This way you will save on heating costs too. I have a bunch of bluegill and they are such cool fish. May not be anything great to look at but they sure are fun.
