My wife had a large colloid cyst in her brain a couple of years ago. It was too large for endoscopic (like arthriscopic) surgery and they had to 'pop the hood' as it were. 10 days in the hospital and once a year MRI or ct scan; she had her scan yesterday. sfsg. Your friend will probably be on anti- seizure meds for awhile, perhaps a lifetime.
Yeh, it's scary stuff and I share your concern, but medicine is absolutely amazing these days and short of an infection or worse, it's okay to have faith in it sometimes. I have met and talked with neurosurgeons and let me tell you they're a different breed, like fighter pilots: absolutely cool and confident.

i'm sorry to hear that ray. I had a subdural haematoma (blood clot between the skull and the brain) this summer coz some punk kid bottled me. Was in hospital for awhile and was on some next level pain killers and seizure meds. Kinda ruined my summer. Hope everything goes well..
