to those of you who have air pumps

do you think its better to have an air pump thats bigger than the size of the tanks its suppose to be used on?

example: A air pump made for a 250 gallon tank used on a 55?

You can never have too much air or filter unless you have a 20gal or smaller.Large filter on little tank stresses small fish out.

I always oversize my air pumps but you have to keep in mind that most of the larger pumps need to have their bladders changed once a year.

You can always put a valve to limit the air.
