Mountains in North Carolina.
I just moved from Tennessee to North Carolina and went from city water to spring water. The fish made the move fine, just a little stressed. They have been in the new water for three days without issue. I did add water conditioner even though there is no chlorine. Does anyone think it is necessary to continue to put conditioner with water changes? Also should I add anything to the water to aid with the transition? If salt is an option, I do have some scaleless fish such as clown loaches and various knife fish... Thanks in advance!

I actually might end up moving to NC soon as well, outside of asheville, mom needs some help and I'm tired of living across the country from my family. I'm curious about this as well.

I lived there for about a year and I don't remember any, but I wasn't really active in the hobby at the time so I wasn't really looking. I was in Hendersonville FWIW

dunno bout the mountains but as far as spring water from the mountains i would think u should be fine..

maybe add a stress coat to the water other than that you should be fine. I have well water. i add nothing think about it your water has go throw hundreds of feet of sandstone, limestone and dirt. people pay good money for filtration that isn't even half as good as that. careful the water should be very hard.

Welcome to NC! Not aware of stores in Asheville area, but there is Fintastic in Charlotte and I believe Fish warehouse in Hickory.

If you do locate a store up your way, please share as I am up in Brevard a ton and would love to know about it.
