Well I have been having fun attempting to keep all my fish happy...

I woke up to find my discus breathing like crazy, and an odd growth on the syno... So started treatment.

Then after work I do a bunch of water changes on the discus tank and a few others. (They really shouldn't need it.)

So I sit back and relax... And I go ahead and feed the fish with my pair of electras... Well you should all know by now that the male has been trying so hard and the female if anything has always said no. SO today I noticed the male is even more beat up... and he is only mouthing food. (Even brine shrimp...) Ugh can fish be so set on getting their thing on that they wont eat?!?!

Anyways I have noticed that the Male electra has hardly grown at all while the female is almost double his size now. So I decided to pull the male and I hope he starts eating... If not I get to treat for bloat but well lets just say I really hope it doesn't come to that.

Then of course I noticed that some of my africans in the 250 seem to be mouthing there food. But I have a rule of thumb to not do anything rash with the large tanks. So I am going to wait that tank out. I just hope I am not heading towards a world of hurt. (And here I have been doing quite well at keeping if anything ahead of water changes...)

Well it is all in a days work with fish, but man days like this don't boaster my spirits.

Anyways has anyone else had a problem where the male basically stopped eating because he was too love sick? I plan on keeping him out of that tank now and putting them together in a few weeks, but I wont likely keep them together as long.

my pair of JDs, the male was all over the place but only stood in his spot doing nuthing, he loves beefhearts but didnt even touch them. lol
love hurts

Well this morning the 250+ looked all good. (IE the one I saw spitting last night ate light a hog.) But the Electra male still didn't eat, and now and albino in another tank seems to be hardly eating, ah the joys. But my main concern is the Electra. He looks health except for the nipped fins that will grow back, but well I want to see him eat.

My rostratus has yet to eat . He has some good mass so I think he 's still adjuusting ,the rest of them have taken to the piranah type feeding frenzy of the rest of the tank.

Yah they are both eating like normal now... though I am having fun watching other fish get finicky. It seems ever day a new fish in a different tank decided he isn't hungry.

And malawi haps I have to say the two rostratus I have eat the most I have ever fed an hap. But yah a few days shouldn't be bad.

Good news....
