Heh, I see that pfish.net has moved here
. Been a while since I was here (for all the oldschool pfish people, I was "Mattimeo"), I left the hobby for a few years. Although I'm not really as dedicated to it as before because of school and work, I've kept a few of my tanks up and running, and I've got a spare 180g lying around. I just recently set it up, and I'm slowly adding inhabitants to the tank. The inhabitants are all cetopsis coecutiens (blue whale catfish is what I see them labelled as in the trade). For those of you not familiar, they're pretty nasty little catfish, get around a good foot in length. They are shoaling predatory/parasitic catfish who either engulf smaller fish, feed on carrion, or devour chunks out of much larger fish (large B. Filamentosum are often seen with scars from Cetopsis attacks). They are notorious for attacking fish that have been hooked by anglers. They're neat in aquaria, feeding time is pretty crazy, when they frenzy they put piranhas to shame.
Here is an image, they resemble sharks to a great degree.
Just wondering if anyone else has any experience keeping them? They're one of the few fish that interest me enough to which I'd dedicate a fully decorated species tank.
