I just picked up a 125 gallon off craigslist yesterday. It's a standard size and came with a stand and two canister filters. How should i set it up? I've got 7 cl 5 angelfish, 8 tetras, and a rubber lip pleco. I'm thinking pool filter sand with some live/fake plants, some terra cotta pots, and some drift wood. What's everyone's opinion?

use PFS for substrate, large driftwood in the middle, black background, invest in t5 lighting, u wont be disappointed. IMO. gl with your setup
Those will work ok...stuff foam between the bucket and the top basket before you put the top screen on, and you'll get a by-pass free canister that way. Works great...especially if you run sand instead of gravel.jrpsaros;4118316; said:

I'm set on pool filter sand too. I can't wait to get this set up, It will be a few days from now, if not a week or so. I also plan on painting the back of the tank black.
