just picked up a bgk

so i just finnally got a bgk after 2 month of waitin and he looks really good too. at 2 inches and health. excited =].

i do have a question though. how well do bgk gets along with discus?
 
They get along pretty well with things like discus, angelfish, gouramis ect.. They aren't very aggressive; curious if anything, deemed as a fairly smart fish.
 
They should be fine with each other. Give a few hiding spots for the BGK so it can feel comfortable.
 
well i have 2 clear tubes that came with the filter i put on my 55 grow out tank so i threw thouse it. also what is the growth rate of bgk? cuz i would love for them to be able to grow out with my discuses
 
They can grow pretty quickly to about 6"-7" and then they tend to slow down after that.
 
I have a 125 with a 7" BGK and about 8 discus, 5 angels and some others and no issues what so ever...As mentioned, the BGK just swims around all curious like and checks stuff out all the time. More active in the evening, but out during the day sometimes...very cool fish....

Dude that's my dream set up and stock!!! You should def post some pix... pretty plzzzzzz :drool::drool:
 
haha, I will see what I can do. Have to find a camera or it will be iPhone pics... There are 2 heros severums, a red spot severum, some geo's, and a small school of clown loaches in there also. I will try and get pics up by this weekend...
