At Petsmart, believe it or not! It's around 2-3" and I paid $5.xx for him. Seemed like a pretty good deal so I went ahead and got him. I'll try to get some pics later. What should I feed him while he's this small? Pellets? rosie reds/guppy's?

try bloodworms, mine loved em at that size. u should try to get him on pellets too, i hear most ck's wont eat em but i got mine to eat em with minimal fuss
My pets mart sells bgk's brown knives and the ones u just got for like 5- 10$ its pretty cool thats the only good fish they cary 
ive got a normal ck and a royal from petsmart here and im the only person who has ever i mean ever bought them here why do you guys think that is? they are a very beautiful fish compared to other fish, oscars etc and both for only 6$ what the hell lol i paid more for a common pleco from there :O

Chalk it up to folks actually being smart and responsible. Maybe a kudos out to the petsmart for steering people away from a fish that will get so huge?? You need quite a large tank for an adult clown knife.

people still buy fish that are too large for them to keep for life but they still buy them, irradecent sharks, bala sharks and rbp for a few common ones to mention my normal ck has hovered at around 7 inches now for like 3 months its really odd and my rck isnt racing to that size ive had him for 2 months or more now and hes only gained an inch a very big recluse hes only in a 29g (3 inches) right now because the ck chases him around in my 150 and i want to have both of them in the same tank so im trying to grow him out in there like i did the other ck
