Just picked up these...

Stopped by a couple of my favorite fish stores today to see if anything new had come in. Luckily, one of them just happened to have a whole bunch of small Festae from a recent spawn. These guys are roughly an inch long right now. I got to see the parents in their own tank, beautiful fish. They were both about 10" in length and really healthy looking.

Here are a few pics about an hour after they were put into their growout tank. These guys were in their own separate tank at the lfs with their own filter so im taking the chance by not QT'ing them first, but i have no other option cuz i dont have an empty tank to qt right now. Hoping for the best and that these guys are healthy.

Payed $15 a piece. Store is Ocean Blue in Orange, Ca. Dont know if they ship but you can always try, these fish look amazing in person.

Very nice. I know umbeeking lives in OC, and he dropped off a load of festae to one of the lfs's in his area, so there's a good chance those are from him. He also door his pair to the store so... There is a good chance. And they are definitely great quality

Thats what the store owner told me too. Said he bought the pair and the fry from someone locally. Didnt know that umbeeking was that someone. Well in that case, thank you umbeeking, i've been looking for these fish for quite a long time.

Thats why I asked. I thought they looked familiar. Its amazing how similar those look to the 2 I have from his fry.

A little update:
Second day in the tank and they are already eating. Fed them some bloodworms, and they also picked at a couple pellets that i dropped in. They are settling in with the other tankmates, and starting to assert their dominance on the rams. Cant wait until these guys get bigger.
