Just Pickup my 4th FX5

So I just pickup a used Fluval Fx5 filter $160 which is now my 4th filter awesome
Question I have is would you reused the media or go with brand new media. Now I have have another FX5 that is already in use so this filter will be the second one to go online with the first one. so what do you think?

Not sure I understand the question... are you asking if you can reuse the media from your other filters, the media that came with the used filter, what media to use...?

i would not reuse any media you got with the used filter, unless you are familiar with the po of the filter and how the media was stored or prepared for your purchase. media is cheap, livestock, not so much

Thanks I thought the same thing I would hate to re use it and then kill off the fish with some deadly virus or something. What about the foam filter pads in the pump? What should I clean them with>>

Just dry it all out and then soak in HOT water... should be fine. You can use bleach/water soak and then rinse and soak in hot water with dechlorinator if you're really worried about it. Dechlorinator neutralizes bleach.
