trade 2x Ac11s for a ehime 3xl 2080 and that thing is beastly, and while on sale I pick up a 2262, super excited. hope they are not to different than the FX6, used o them.

The FX6 has the pump on the bottom, which can get sand and grit in it. When that happens the impeller can jam. It's still a decent filter. The Eheim 2262 have been on sale lately, and I think they are better filters since they are so simple. No magic chip to make it smart. And it holds a lot more media. And it pumps more.

thanks and yea my 225 is gonna have sand, actually hoping it will filter the whole tank since my biggest fish will be a royal pleco
