I just purchase a baby Indo tiger fish about 2.5"....I'm a newbie in keeping tigers and I just want some advice from bro's who have keep these fish and succesfully raising them....Any advice on care and maintenance like diet, WC, temp, are they good alone or groups..etc.....thanks.....

WC frequently cause they are relatively delicate fish. either keep 1 or 3,4,5,6,7.......

if you have to they pick on each other if you have more then they will spread out the aggression.

if your going to do water changes please age the water or use dechlor. Dats, especially indos, thin bars, and wide bars are sensitive to chlorine and other shiet. .

Dats require very good water conditions to be happy and stable. Feed them an assortment of foods. As far as the temp, Ive seen ppl keep them between 78 and 86 degrees. I personally keep mine at 82. Good luck with the new indo!

thanks guys...so far my indo seems to be okay...this morning when lights off it was very active and swimming around with my clown loaches and even ate some bloodworms, but when lights on seems to hide again...I do weekly 20% WC from the tap with Prime conditioner and I dose with the full tank not just the water I take out....BTW would it come out of hiding during feeding????

He's just adjusting to his new environment. He'll be out begging for food in no time at all.

Just another thought...I've had great luck with packing a lot of hide spots in the tank for my dats and I seem to see them more. If they have a few places for quick getaways they will feel more secure and become more bold.

I just fed my IT just now, but I'm a little concerned that I've overfed...It took a piece of MP intended for my aro and this little guy could eat, I couldn't believe he swallowed the whole piece and how big they're mouth is....question is it okay for him to eat this much cause I put in some bloodworms too(I didn't think it would snatch aro's food)....
