I have a 210 g tank and I wanted to switch from black sand to tile. The black sand I had always got sucked up into my filters and when I did water changes and made my tank look too dark.
I finally bought the tile today from Home Depot. I bought granite tile and had them cut it for me at the store. I wanted to get something dark or brown as possible without it being black. I didn't want a white or very light colored tile because too much algae grows on very light tile. I got a color I'm really happy with.
Here are some pics. I have eartheaters and I'm going to add a little pool filter sand for them tomorrow. I'm going to put sand over the small gaps in the tiles too. What do you think? I saw other people on mfk with tiled tanks and it inspired me to do the same.
