He will bite..see those teeth.. he actually comes aggressively after your finger and if you think you don't have to watch him every minute.... think again because he draws blood and leaves bite marks!! This red devil is tough!

He truly is mean ..so mean that he has to be by himself forever.. he will tear another fish apart in an instance.. thats why i have alot of learning to do before i breedany of my other red devils.. i do not think they are even near as mean as this one but they are not as old or mature.. this guy is almost 9 inches..and he has no fear.. he will go into the net just to get the net.. kill the net..
Nice pics, BTW my large male midas used to be that way, by himself, mean and attacking everything, especially the fish net and handles, when he was at 5". But now at 12" I had him moved to a community tank with large oscars 10" and 12", 7" male dovii, 7" male midas (offspring) and he seems mellow now. I had this set up for over 8 months now.
